DESKS AND TABLES

Desking

Intent Furniture

It's no accident that our new Intent furniture extends from private offices to open plan workstations. Its design features and materials choices complement those of Vivo interiors, as well as other Herman Miller systems. Its concise set of parts combines in many ways for choices in matching furniture layouts to the ways people work. And, lots of choices mean you can make Intent as affordable as you need.

Passage Desking System

Offices throughout history have revolved around where the work gets done. First the desk, then the support components that keep supplies at hand, light on the surface, digital information coming in. Passage is called a "desking system" because this completely freestanding system uses modular desks as the building blocks for the workspace structure.

Systems capabilities built into elegant freestanding furniture. Blending the advantages of both, Passage is a beautiful, high-tech solution for open spaces and enclosed offices, for individual and team settings.

Sense Desking System

This system of simple, spacious work surfaces makes good sense for today's complex, ever-changing office environments. You can put together a single desk, a cluster, or a run without using a single tool.

When your needs change, as they always do, you can reconfigure the desks quickly and easily. We think Sense is a fresh look at simple flexibility.

Abak Environments

Abak Environments is a high-performance desking system capable of numerous applications anywhere in the world. It can be anything from a basic, stand-alone desk to a performance wall that support collaboration in human-centered work spaces for any culture in the world. Abak looks as smart as it works. The slender profile and translucent and reflective materials allow a consistently elegant and contemporary look throughout global facilities.

5000 Series Furniture

5000 Series furniture is what cost-conscious businesses look to when they want a freestanding metal desk product and don't want to sacrifice quality. A variety of desks and attaching components help you create hardworking and stylish configurations, open plan or private offices. Durable, simple, and easy to work with. Used on its own or wrapped in systems panels, 5000 Series furniture is a great common-sense design value.

Avive Table Collection

The Avive table collection helps bring a workspace to life. Mobile and agile, these freestanding tables, table desks, and table extensions can be used in workstations instead of panel-hung work surfaces and to create community spaces outside workstations. Wherever they are, they help cost-conscious companies keep pace with the demands of work and change.

Envelop Desk

All those hours at work, you move, your chair moves, the desk stays put. Even the best task chairs can't do it all, so we've brought ergonomic principles to the one element that was just sitting there. A desk that moves? Radical! A desk that promotes healthful movement? That makes sitting at a computer comfortable? It's Envelop, the first desk designed to help you, your chair, your desk, and computer work together for better health and comfort.

Conference Tables

Burdick Group Tables

When you first see the glass-topped Burdick Group tables, your immediate thought is probably going to be, "How you can get one?" That's because of the striking look achieved by letting the glass top reveal the aluminum beam, the elegant and useful backbone of this uncommon furniture.>

Beautiful? Yes. But these tables are also highly functional—in an executive office, conference room, reception area, even a dining room

Teneo Storage Furniture

We call it "storage furniture" because Teneo works like storage and looks like furniture. It manages the objects that fuel team creativity, but it also helps you engage easily with others and with the space you inhabit. In their harmony with each other and their environments, Teneo pieces are meant not only to be an active part of work life, but to be seen. They provide storage everywhere - in group, community, and project spaces and in workstations for individuals.

The Intersect Portfolio

The Intersect portfolio is a versatile group of products that work together effectively—just like the people who use it. Intersect display and boundary products, tables, and seating help people collaborate, communicate, and exchange ideas in shared spaces outside individual workstations, where more work is being done. They move and adapt easily to fit people, the space, and the task.

Occasional Tables

Eames Elliptical Table

With its long, low profile, the Eames elliptical table sits dramatically in front of a long sofa or in the middle of a chair grouping. It sets a striking stage for displaying mid-century fat lava vases, fresh flowers, magazines, or a special book in a living room, waiting room, reception area, or executive lounge. Finished in either black or white laminate, the table makes a strong and beautiful statement wherever it is.

Eames Molded Plywood Coffee Table

Charles and Ray Eames applied the same breakthrough technology that resulted in their famous molded plywood chairs to create this simple, lightweight, imaginative table in the mid-1940s.

With its thin, slightly indented top and gently curved legs, the table speaks eloquently of the fertile early years of classic Eames design.

Eames Walnut Stools

Are they really stools? Places to sit? Are they tables? Plant stands? Accent pieces for homes, offices, lobbies? Yes. They've been called abstract chess pieces. Well, no. Made of solid walnut, these stools designed by Charles and Ray Eames can be used anywhere, alone or in groups, and are beautifully versatile.

Eames Wire-Base Table

Line a few of them up to work like a coffee table. Use them as bedside tables. Stack one on top of another to serve as an end table next to a sofa. Scatter them around a room. Use them to serve hors d'oeuvres and drinks.

Kotatsu Table

Designed by Ayako Takase and Cutter Hutton, A low table with a large top, this Japanese influenced collaboration surface for informal settings serves as a gathering point; the lower shelf holds meeting materials.

Nelson End Table

End table, café table, informal meeting table, coffee table.

This versatile classic, designed by George Nelson in 1954, is available in three sizes, which can be used in a variety of ways. The clean, graceful lines of the pedestal and legs are typical of Nelson design. And the tables will hold a lamp, a phone, a book and coffee mug, or a bowl of flowers in style.

Noguchi Table

The perfect balance - literally - between art and furniture. Sculptor Isamu Noguchi created his distinctive table by joining a curved, solid wood base with a freeform glass top. The ethereal result does not diminish the practical design - a sturdy and durable table. This marriage of sculptural form and everyday function has made the Noguchi table an understated and beautiful element in homes and offices since its introduction in 1948.

Dining Tables

Eames Tables

You need tables. Lots of tables. For executive conference rooms, workstations and work rooms, meeting and training rooms, dining and break areas. The extensive variety of sizes, shapes, and finishes available on Eames tables means you can have exactly the table you need for a particular task.

You also get the handsome looks and durability that have made these tables the choice for all kinds of spaces for more than 40 years.

Nelson Swag Leg Desk and Tables

We decided to reintroduce the classic Nelson swag leg group because the distinctive group has the look, scale, and function just right for today, 50 years after George Nelson designed them. The size of the desk is perfect for a laptop and MP3 dock and makes efficient use of space in your home or office. The tables work well in offices and meeting spaces and in your dining area at home.

Screens

Eames Molded Plywood Folding Screen

As Charles and Ray Eames saw it, designers just want to have "serious fun." This 68-inch-high, undulating screen resulted from their play. It's a portable, foldable, enjoyable way to divide space, provide a backdrop, and add privacy. The screen was designed as a complement to other Eames molded plywood creations. It's also a stand-alone piece distinctive in all kinds of settings.

Soft Screen

Lightweight, freestanding, and portable, the soft screen is a sinuous, beautiful way to divide space or have a little privacy when you need it. Like a curtain that somehow manages to stand upright.

Designed without a frame, for a light aesthetic, the screen is nevertheless stable, strong, and rigid. But it looks delicate, thanks to the translucent panels—cool white or spun gold—that allow light to filter through.

The soft screen is 63 inches high and unfolds to six feet.

Home Office Desks and Storage

Airia Desk and Media Cabinet

The Lifework Portfolio's Airia desk strikes a balance of simple function, timeless style, and quality craft. The elegant millwork of the walnut frame, tapered legs, and cork-lined trays exemplify the creative use materials and attention to detail. Thoughtful cable management is included. The line also includes a versatile media cabinet. In a home interior, Airia complements classic furniture as well as new styles.

Enchord Desk and Mobile Cabinet

The work we do at home makes special demands on our space and furniture. Designed specifically to support the wide range of tasks that happen at home, the Enchord desk and mobile cabinet are an affordable, simple, and downright clever solution to getting the homework done, keeping the papers you're using now organized and at hand, and letting you keep your phone and a sandwich nearby while you shop online.

Sense Desk and Media Cabinet

For the family, or individual, who spends a lot of time working at the computer at home, the high-performance Sense desk makes, well, sense. With its large work surface and wire manager, it supports you and your technology and does it with simplicity, flexibility, and a cool residential look. Height-adjustable legs make the work surface adaptable to everybody, even the kids. Matching storage components complete the home office.

Eames Desk and Storage Units

Long before "modularity" and "high tech" entered the design lexicon, Charles and Ray Eames were using industrial production techniques to extend the boundaries of design and create a modern aesthetic. These desk and storage units complement each other, and each can stand alone. They provide ample storage, work, and display space. And at home or in the office, they look as striking now as they did when first introduced in 1950.
